Course Title: Provider’s Guide: An In-Depth Review and Introduction to Ryan’s Law (SB-311) Masters Course

Ryan’s Law raises a need for hospitals and healthcare facilities to educate their staff on how the new law affects their particular workplace, SOP’s regarding medical cannabis, learning about the proper dosing, storage and safety procedures that must be observed to divert alleviate and mitigate risk, and protect the public’s health and safety at large. Learning Objectives:
During participation, learners will review, understand, apply and be able to adhere to the new law with medical cannabis patients at end of life and will learn the following but not limited to: definition of terms, why the need for Ryan’s Law, how the new law affects one’s particular workspace, defines proper state licensing recommendation requirements, compliance considerations, sample standard operating procedure (SOP), routes of medical cannabis administration, proper charting, safety procedures and precautions and storage considerations that must be observed to divert alleviate and mitigate risk, and protect the public’s health and safety at large.
In addition, the course aims to improve the standards of provider-patient care by providers being able to understand and meet at the patient’s level, provides awareness of cultural diversity and acceptance of this treatment modality while providing corrective action change that leads to wellness practices.
